Sandals with Essential Oils Delivery

Actually, we don’t think so! The oil will primarily be dispensed onto the heel of your foot where you won’t feel much but the soft wool that the oil passed through that sits up against your heel.

Your feet are the best place on your body to absorb essential oils because that is where your pores are the biggest and where you have the most nerve endings. The pores soak up the oil easily and your nervous system sends it throughout your whole body in about 20 minutes.

The insole of the sandal is made of natural leather and is meant to hold small amounts of the essential oil as well so that your whole foot is receiving the benefit of the oil – and making it smell like sweet cinnamon and not stinky foot odor!

We’ve carefully designed the Tholi Essential Oil cartridge that goes into each sandal to prevent spills and leakage. There are multiple seals that ensure that the oil travels up from the reservoir to the wool activator disc where we want it to be.

From there, it’s a straight shot onto your heels. If you would happen to toss your sandals off and one would land upside down, more oil than you want could eventually seep onto the wool. We do advise that your sandals are stored right side up when you are not wearing them.

Essential oils are just plant extracts. The high-quality ones Tholi uses have been proven scientifically to do pretty miraculous things when partnered with your body’s own immune system which uses the oil to bring about restoration at a cellular level. 1. A rubber outsole with tread to prevent slipping.
2. A leather insole that the feet rest on to absorb excess oil.
3. Two adjustable straps across the top of the foot to customize the fit to your foot and keep your feet securely in place while moving about
4. The essential oil cartridge sits down inside a cavity with only a small, metered amount of essential oil coming up onto the wool disc and then onto the bottom of the heel to be absorbed into the body.

The oil is NOT dripping all over the place but stays in the cartridge or inside the wool disc until the foot is ready to absorb more oil.

We’ve designed the Tholi Essential Oil reservoirs to hold about 5ml of oil each.  This is enough for a week or more worth of wear.
